I know this is a website, but like, I made another one.

With talk of the industry starting up again, I logged onto Backstage and Actor's Access for the first time in what felt like years. Upon submitting for projects again, I remembered the plight of not having a reel. I mean, I have a reel, but it is not great. I went to a school that never films productions or class work, so my reel is just a smattering of the projects that I do have on tape (and the video quality of some of those clips is questionable at best).

I realized the dreaded time had come: I needed to make an acting website. I have been avoiding making a website because I really didn't want to pay for another domain while the performing arts industry is still shut down. This week, however, I felt the inspiration strike and I had to capitalize on it. I still won't be paying for a domain name until I think it is a better investment, so the URL you see now will not be staying that way. Eventually, I will pay to remove the aggressively purple Wix border and make the URL just www.nicoletteboillotat.com.

Actors Access is kinda bullshit in that it charges you 22 dollars for each minute of video you upload, ON TOP of paying 68 dollars for a yearly subscription. So when I looked at that, I was like yeeeeaaaahhh no thanks, not when I can just put my website URL in the notes section of my submission. I have all of the clips I would want to submit on the website, along with production stills, a bio, and my resume.

Sooo yes, this week's post is a shameless plug for my acting website. Go check it out! Tell me your thoughts! Rip it apart, love it unconditionally, what have you.

Till next time.
